3:30 Ffos Las: CYPRIOT DIASPORA
The Rod Millman yard continue to be in decent order – coming into Tuesday with a 37% SR in the last 14 days.
They’ve got a few out today, but one that caught the eye was this Oisin Murphy-ridden 5yold.
She is a proven CD winner at this Welsh venue – winning two on the spin last season.
And has an overall Ffos Las record that reads 2-1-1-3.
She’s been dropped a pound for a recent 3rd here too (59) and having not won in eight – is now rated 9lbs lower than her last winning rating.
3:45 Catterick: BARMYBLADE
The Tim Easterby yard are not in great form – just 3 wins from their last 81 in the last 14 days.
However, they have done well in this race recently, winning two of the last three and took the pot last season.
They try again with CD winner Barmyblade, who got up by a neck here last time.
He’s up just 3lbs for that success – but the first two pulled 2 lengths clear of the third Miss Rainbow, who is back for more.
But the pick won off 59 last season so today’s higher mark of 57 still gives him a top chance of adding to the yard’s good record in this contest.
I’ll side with Barmyblade to ‘cut’ through the pack.
8:00 Roscommon: IL SILENZIO
The Martin Brassil yard have won this race a few times in recent years, including with this horse 12 months ago.
He’s back rated 6lbs higher this time but has only raced once since taking this prize.
That came at Punchestown in June, so would have likely needed that – but still ran a fair race to be 4th (of 16).
You feel this would have been the target again and even though he’s rated 6lbs higher this time, connections have booked a 7lb claimer to bring his weight down.
Il is the call to ‘Silenzio’ the others in this race again.
