This John Butler runner has shown a fair level of form to date and this race looks winnable for him.
However, he’s very exposed now and heads here still winless from 11 starts.
Meaning he could be prone to one of the newcomers improving past him – despite him having the experience edge.
Yes, the in-form Billy Loughnane rides too, but I’m happy to take him on at the prices – based on his wins-to-runs record.
Of the rest, the Haggas yard have a top 50% (4-8) SR with their 3yolds here – so their newcomer Flagbearer probably doesn’t have to be too good to win this on debut.
