Free Each Way Horse Racing Tips Today: Friday 31st July, 2026
3:00 Goodwood: TRIBAL CHIEF
Does have a habit of fluffing the start – which he did again last time at Sandown.
But despite this still go within 3 1/4 lengths of the winner that day.
Jamie Spencer takes over for the first time and he’s also a proven CD winner here at Goodwood – where his last win actually came.
This mile trip suits him well and draw 4 looks ideal too with 8 of the last 10 winners coming from 5 or lower.
I’ll take Tribal to be the ‘chief’ here.
3:10 Wolverhampton: TAROT
The Roger Varian yard remain in great form – heading into today on a 42% SR in the last 14 days.
They run this filly here on what will only be her seventh start – but is eased in grade after running 6th in a C2 race last time at HQ.
Is also down a pound for that run and gate 1 looks ideal.
While she’s only run twice on the AW, but her sole career success came at Kempton, which is a further plus.
Hopefully we can land a small ‘fortune’ here with Tarot.
3:20 Newcastle: STAND STRONG
Another stable that are in flying form are Ewan Whillans, who come here having fired in 3 wins from their last 6.
They also took this race 12 months ago with this horse and he’s only a pound higher a year on.
Yes, he’s not won a race since but is starting to look well-handicapped again and heads here off the back of a wind operation.
I’ll side with Stand being too ‘strong’ in this race again.
4:55 Wolverhampton: MARIS ANGEL
The final e/w pick today is a horse for the Fionn McSharry yard, who often do well here at Wolves.
They boast a cracking 8-17 (47% SR) with their 4+ yolds at this venue and so this 5yold mare is worthy of an interest.
She was 6th (of 9) last time at Ponty but before that has run some top races here at Wolves – winning 4 times.
She’s only 3lbs higher than the last of those wins and Conor Whiteley is in the saddle to take off 5lbs.
With that last run coming off a 6 month break too, then she can be expected to have improved for it too.
Maris Angel is the call to fly home.
