Free Each Way Horse Racing Tips Today: Friday 24th July, 2026
2:40 Uttoxeter: JET PATROL
The James Owen yard remain in great order – coming into today on a 58% SR with 7 winners from their last 12.
Therefore a chance is taken on their runner here after a fair 4th last time out.
That last run was his first outing since last November so can be expected to improve for it.
Sean Bowen rides again, which is an obvious plus, and is also dropped a pound by the handicapper.
It would be no shock to see Jet Patrol fly close here for a yard that also boast a solid 26% SR with their hurdlers at this venue.
5:12 Ascot: KILLAVIA
I’ve been harping on all week about the good form of the Rod Millman yard – and so anything they run at the moment should be on our radars.
They’ve got another here and even though this filly was last of 4 last time was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths.
Is down 2lbs this time but that last run also came on soft ground – she’s back on her preferred quicker surface today.
Oisin Murphy has also been booked to ride and she’s been freshened up with 42 days off.
The final plus is the Millman yard also won this race in 2023, so have targeted it with success in the past.
7:15 York: DICKO THE LEGEND
This Liam Bailey runner loves this race – he’s won the last two runnings and is back for more.
He’s returning rated only a pound higher than his 1/2 length win 12 months ago and 2lbs more than 2024.
Main rider Billy Garritty is back in the saddle too and connections are opting for the first-time cheekpieces to try and eke out a bit more.
Those two wins in this race are also his only two runs on the Knavesmire so will also bring a 2-2 track record to the table.
I’ll take Dicko to be a ‘Legend’ again in this race.
8:25 York: SLOT
Is yet to score from seven career runs but has knocked on the door a few times – with a couple of silvers in recent runs.
She’s back today on the same mark as last time (68) and having run over 5f and 6f – this 5 1/2f will be fine.
Yes, she’s up a tad in grade, but that means a lesser racing weight (8-11) and 10lbs less than last time.
The final plus is that his race has seen 80% of the last 10 winners drawn 5 or lower.
While 50% have also hailed from gate 2 – guess what stall this Antony Brittain horse has ‘slotted’ into?
