3:55 Doncaster – ROOM FOURTEEN (NAP)
This James Fanshawe runner won a bit snug in the end at Redcar the last day and so a 4lb hike for that looks well within range.
Yes, he took a bit of time to warm to the task, but at the line seemed to have more in the tank and so the long Donny straight should be right up his street.
Billy Loughnane has been booked too and with only 7 career runs, this filly should have more to come.
Room Fourteen can hopefully shut the door on her rivals again today.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:25 Newmarket – INNER CITY BLUES (NB)
Coventry Stakes 2nd Adaay Of Scarlett sets a fair standard, but I was impressed with Charlie Appleby’s Inner City Blues York win last time.
He powered home on debut to win by 2 lengths that day under Buick and that form has been franked since, with the 2nd and 3rd both winning.
Charlie Appleby has actually never won the July Stakes, but does have a stonking 38% SR with his 2yolds here at HQ.
Inner City Blues can go to ‘town’.
3:10 Carlisle – IS SHE NOW
Was disappointing for us earlier in the week when only 4th at Ayr.
But the drop back in trip today should help and this looks a weaker race – with many question marks for most of the others to answer.
The fact she’s out again just 3 days later suggests she’s in good heart still and is the call to resume winning ways.
4:10 Newmarket – PEACEFUL CHARM
No form to go on for this Godolphin newcomer, but what we do know is the Appleby yard have a 38% SR with their juveniles here.
Plus they also love this race.
The stable have won 4 of the last 7 and the market is suggesting this €2m Dubawi filly is well enough forward to carry on the good Appleby record.
William Buick, who has won 2 of the last 3 runnings of this race, rides and so Peaceful can ‘Charm’ the rest at the first time of asking.
