Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
3:20 Curragh PURVIEW (NAP)
Was seriously impressive when winning here at the Curragh in May and connections have since taken their time with him.
That was his first try upped to 1m4f and clearly stayed it well, but is back to 1m2f today.
However, having travelled well into that race and shown plenty of pace – I don’t think this ease in distance is a worry.
The Weld camp have won this race five times in the past too.
Colin Keane rides this Kingman colt again and is taken to ‘purr’ home once more.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
1:57 Cartmel CINATING
Won well at Roscommon earlier this month by 4 1/4 lengths and is now having her first run outside Ireland for the Gordon Elliott yard.
Of course it’s always a bit tricky translating the Irish form to the UK – but that last effort still looks like being the best on show and the booking of Sean Bowen is a further plus.
2:17 Uttoxeter FLYING ACE
Another Gordon Elliott runner today with a big-looking chance is this 5yold with Harry Skelton a rare rider for the yard.
Heads here having won his last two races so has to give a fair bit of weight away (10lbs) which will make life harder.
But has been winning well (5 & 8 lengths) to suggest there is more in the locker.
Flying Ace is the call to come up trumps and land the three-timer.
4:43 Uttoxeter EDELAK (NB)
Won his last two in facile fashion – the last at Stratford by a massive 28 lengths.
Is up another 7lbs for that win here but eased slightly in grade will help.
Could be another of these Skelton summer jumpers to win a fair few in-a-row – with win number three on the bounce very much on the cards today.
Harry Skelton, who has ridden him the last twice, keeps the ride.
