Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Sunday 28th June, 2026
3:37 Cartmel: FIVEONEFIVE
One of the horses all eyes will be on today is this Cian Collins-trained 8yold at Cartmel.
Why? He’ll be looking for a remarkable fourth win in this race – having won the pot in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
He’s been well out-of-sorts recently though, so will need to bounce back – but this race is sure to have been a target again and what we do know is this place seems to spark him into life.
Fiveonefive can make a bold bid for ‘four’.
4:35 Curragh: JAMES J BRADDOCK
Benvenuto Cellini will be popular here to put his Epsom Derby antics behind him – the better ground will suit and it was hard to not be impressed with his Chester win before that.
However, I’m not sure he’s great value – despite looking the most likely winner to give Aidan O’Brien a 18th Irish Derby win.
So the better E/W play for me is James J Braddock, who was third at Epsom last time in the Derby (watch below).
He got a bit worked up before that race too, so he actually did well to finish in the frame.
He’s a gutsy sort that is sure to run his race again and Epsom thirds (Westover and Los Angeles) went onto take the Irish Derby in recent years.
Named after a former US heavyweight boxer, James J Braddock has a great change of delivering a ‘knockout’ blow.
