Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Saturday 27th June, 2026
1:40 Newcastle: BOBBY BENNU
At a price, I think Korker is worth a small saver as he’s still very well handicapped and must pop up soon.
But a horse that was just ahead on him last time at Chester was Benny Bennu, who was 4th last time on the Roodee.
That was his first run of the season so is sure to come on for it and is also dropped a pound.
Ray Dawson rides and with that last run under his belt should be spot-on for this.
1:55 York: ANDESITE
Hasn’t gone onto fulfil his promise after running in the 2024 Gimcrack – but has still only had 13 career runs and now with Roger Fell.
He does seem to like York though, with his only career win (debut) coming here and he also ran on well to be 2nd here last time.
Yes, he does tend to be slowly away in his races, but if he can limit that today, is expected to be finishing well under Kevin Stott.
With this step back up to 1m, from 7f, also a plus.
3:15 Newcastle: RIDE THE THUNDER / MOON OVER MIAMI
Ride the Thunder is better drawn in 7 as the start of this race sees the horses run for about two furlongs before hitting the bend.
This Roger Varian runner should, therefore, have an ideal position and looks unexposed after two good placed runs against the promising Valiancy.
This is his first run on the AW, so some unknowns here, plus we are also gambling on the trip (furthest he’s gone), but he looks progressive and would have a big chance if seeing it out.
At a bigger price Moon Over Miami is noted too. Yes, the draw (19) is not great, but this horse is back to his last winning mark and I think this 2m trip is his best.
Regardless on what happens here, this horse ran well last time to Valedictory and that form has been franked since – so is one for the trackers.
Hopefully either Thunder can ‘strike’ or Moon can ‘eclipse’ them if overcoming that wide berth.
3:45 Newcastle: ANNAF
Pocklington likes it here and is respected, but at a bigger price Annaf is interesting.
This Mick Appleby runner has lost his way a bit in recent runs but the return to Newcastle could spark him back to life.
He was second to Diligent Harry in that Chipchase Stakes last season (G3) – beaten only a neck – and is now rated 99 in a handicap.
Does need to find his form again, but with 12 top 3 finishes from his 14 runs on the sand surfaces – the switch back to the AW looks a plus.
