Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
8:30 Sligo TACOGRAPH
Willie Mullins and Patrick Mullins have won the last THREE runnings of this Sligo Mares NH Flat race and look primed for a fourth.
They run Tacograph tonight who got her career going with a fair third at Punchestown at the end of April.
She stayed on that day too, so the slight step up in trip looks ideal and it goes without saying she’ll have learned a lot from that experience.
Tacograph is the call to have too much ‘speed’ here.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:48 Salisbury HARRY KNOWS
Has been a tad frustrating with two runs and no win so far – but didn’t get the best of runs the last day at Goodwood and with more luck can break his duck today.
He stayed on well too, which also suggests this step up to 6f will suit and Oisin Murphy, who rode him on debut (2nd), is back in the plate.
3:00 Southwell BEORMA
This Dan Skelton mare has been one of the talks so far of the summer jumping season – winning her last three in facile fashion.
Those wins came in a week too.
Connections have freshened her up with six days off and so looks ready to rumble again off only 3lbs higher than last time (hurdles) as is now switched back over fences.
We’ll see what happens here, but she’s also got more entries later this week on Thursday and Friday – so could another quick three-timer be on the cards?
7:12 Carlisle GLORY ROAD
The Varian runner Affettoso is noted but the form pick looks to be Glory Road, who was a close third at Newbury last time.
He took a bit of a hold that day, so the slight drop back in trip will help and the winner that day Point Of Law looks a fair sort for the King.
This Beckett runner should be living up to his name at the third try.
