Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
3:35 Fakenham – GETAWAY JEWEL (NAP)
Just the four runners here and if going on out in front – Not For Passin could live up to his name.
However, I’m siding with Getaway Jewel, who actually took this race last year.
Sean Bowen is in the plate, which is an obvious plus and despite being 12yold now is rated 72 – the same as last year when winning this.
Having been dropped 5lbs from his last run.
So I’ll take Getaway Jewel can land the Fakenham treasure again.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:35 Fakenham – TUBA
The form of the Fergal O’Brien yard is only average at the moment, but their 5yold here looks to have a solid chance of improving their stable stats.
He heads here off the back of two wins on the flat (AW) and with these coming over 1m6f, then the step up to 2m7f today over the sticks looks well worth a crack.
Tuba should be hitting the right notes with Fern O’Brien taking off a handy 5lbs too.
4:07 Fakenham – AMBIENTE FRIENDLY
The James Owen yard have a top record in this race – winning the last three, so their 2024 Derby second is the call here.
He’s not really progressed since taking silver to City Of Troy that day, with only one career run.
But that came over hurdles at Huntingdon back in December 2025 and should find this company a lot easier than the C2 race he ran in at Sandown the last day.
I’ll take the Owen camp to continue their love affair with this race.
5:30 Kilbeggan – PACK BILL
Jockey Patrick Mullins has won the last two runnings of this race and has a good chance of making it three with this Thomas Cooper.
This 5yold was a fair 5th on his debut in a NH Flat race at Killarney earlier this month.
So can be expected to have learned a lot from that run and having been sent off 5/1 that day was fairly well-fancied too.
Patrick Mullins takes over in the saddle and so Pack Bill is the call to land the ‘money’ here.
