Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Saturday 23rd May, 2026

2:20 Haydock: BLUE COURVOISIER

The Clive Cox yard have a fair record in this race – winning 2 of the last 7 runnings.

They have Langstone and Blue Courvoisier this time and both are respected.

However, for the sake of coming down on one, the pick looks the slightly better value and heads here off the back of two good runs this season at Newmarket and Ascot.

Draw 6 looks fine too and the promising Lauren Young has been booked to claim a handy 5lbs too.

I’ll take Courvoisier to make it a ‘blue’ day for the bookies.

2:40 York: LETHAL NYMPH

Yes, this Paul Midgley runner might want 6f these days but is also suited by a strongly-run 5f – which he should get here.

Last seen running 4th here at York only last week to the improved Jackajaro, who is in the Temple Stakes today at Haydock.

Was running on well that day so off a pound lower and the fact he was 2nd in this race in 2024 off 2lbs higher make him of interest at a fair price.

4:30 Cartmel: DEFENCE WITNESS

Won on this card last season – not this race – but the next one.

So we know he likes it here at Cartmel and looks the value call against the hot favourite Halfway House Lad.

The Sam England yard are also in good order at the moment – coming into today on a 38% SR, which further adds confidence.

Oh and the yard also won this race back in 2024.

4:57 Windsor: MONSIEUR PATAT

Moonhill Lass is on a three-timer and is noted – but we’ve also got last year’s winner in the race – Monsieur Patat.

This Adrian Wintle runner took this off 59 12 months ago and is only 4lbs higher – but took the spoils by 2 lengths.

Since then he’s also won off 65, which is 2lbs higher than today’s rating – with that race also coming here at Windsor.
