Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Thursday 14th May, 2026
2:20 York: COPPER KNIGHT
This Tim Easterby sprinter has been a grand old servant – winning 19 of his 118 starts and has also won this race twice in the past.
Landing the prize in 2019 and 2021 aged 5 & 7.
He’s back for more aged 12 and having won last time out at Beverley might not be done with just yet.
We know he loves York and off a mark of 83 still looks well-treated and gets in here with just 8-6 on his back.
I feel draw 4 looks okay too, with 5 of the last 9 winners coming from a single-figure berth.
This might be more of a place only shout – but if he does win this race for a third time aged 12, then you might not hear a bigger cheer all day.
2:55 York: SHOUT
Talking of ‘big cheers’ – the Oisin Murphy-ridden Shout I think is also of interest here.
He was only beaten 4 lengths in the Lincoln at the end of March and has since run in a hot handicap at Newbury (13th).
But has been eased a bit more by the handicapper and is now rated under 100 (99) again.
This Crisford horse is still fairly lightly-raced too (12 runs), but has won three and a certain Oisin Murphy has been on his back for two of those.
I’ll take Shout to scream the loudest here.
6:50 Clonmel: COLLEEN DANU
Won this prize 12 months ago for the Patrick Foley team and you feel this would have been the target again.
She’s back rated 8lbs higher, which makes life a bit harder but blew away the cobwebs last month with a spin around Limerick.
But we know she likes Clonmel too, with her overall form here reading 3-1-4-2 and will love the better ground too.
Colleen Danu looks primed to go well in a race she won 12 months ago.
7:40 Fontwell: HOLY LEGEND
This Handicap Chase looks a competitive affair, with a stack of chances.
On of those I feel is this Alexandra Dunn-trained 7 year-old, who is going to be the final of today’s each-way horse racing tips.
He was last seen running 6th at Exeter last month but is down 4lbs for that run and is starting to look very well handicapped in my eyes.
Yes, he’s still to win a race (11 runs), but is running off a career-low rating today and has only 10-2 on his back.
The Dunn yard also boast an impressive 42% SR with thier runners over fences here at Fontwell.
James Best, who has ridden the last twice, gets the leg-up again, so hopefully Holy can be a ‘Legend’ for us tonight.
