This Tony Carroll runner was a good winner at Leicester last time out – going in by 2 1/2 lengths.
But is up 4lbs for that, which looks fair, but means he’s back rated above 70 (71).
He’s won 10 times from his 79 career runs – however, all these successes when running over today’s 6f trip have been off slightly lower marks.
This is also an apprentice race where whips can be carried , but not used – which adds another dimension to the contest.
So, overall – yes, a clear chance and in form – but at the prices this Carroll runner isn’t for me today.
Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).
