Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip

6:30 Newcastle EKLEEM (NAP)

The William Haggas yard are ticking along nicely and unless one of the newcomers is above average their 3yold gelding here is taken to get off the mark.

He’ll have the experience edge with two runs to date and despite being a beaten jolly at HQ last time, the first two pulled well clear of the third to suggest the form is solid.

Haggas also has a fair 29% SR with their 3yolds at Gosforth Park.

While his breeding (No Nay Never) also points to the switch to the AW today suiting.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips

4:50 Punchestown DINOBLUE

One of the best chasing mares in training at the moment and will be all the rage to win this race for a season time.

Dinoblue was last seen winning at the Cheltenham Festival – beating Only By Night into second and it should be more of the same here.

This Willie Mullins runner will be one of the big Punchestown bankers on Friday – and is tasked with getting the backers of the big treble rolling.

Dino can make the others feel ‘blue’ again today.

4:55 Ascot – SO REGAL (NB)

I thought this Gosden runner was impressive when winning at Newmarket last time – going in by 1 1/4 lengths.

She had another of today’s runners Lyrics Of Life back in second that day and meets that rival on 6lbs worse terms.

But, for me, this Kingman filly looked to have a fair bit up her sleeve and with Ryan Moore staying on for the ride that’s a further plus.

She holds a Coronation Stakes entry at Royal Ascot too, so that also gives an indication on how connections regard her potential.

Maybe they want to see how she handles the course there today?

Gosden also won this race in 2023 – therefore, I’ll take So Regal to be crowned queen at Ascot today.

6:40 Punchestown LOSSIEMOUTH

This year’s Champion Hurdle winner Lossiemouth will be one of the star attractions at Punchestown today – in what will be her first run back since Cheltenham.

It’s hard to believe she’s still only 7 and broke through the million pound barrier last time with that Champion Hurdle win.

She’s 3-3 here at Punchestown, so the track is another she likes and having won a massive 14 of her 18 starts over hurdles (3 seconds), then she’s as reliable as they come.

It’s already been a top meeting for owner Rich Ricci with Gaelic Warrior landing the Punchestown Gold Cup, but they can continue the celebrations here.
