Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip

5:45 Kempton WILD THOUGHTS

This Richard Spencer horse is in rude form at the moment – winning as he liked at Lingers on Tuesday and if in the same form will be hard to beat.

Yes, the quick turnaround is the small concern, but he showed a top turn-of-foot that day to win by 5 1/2 lengths and hopefully that effort hasn’t taken too much out of him.

Up another 6lbs here but the drop back to 7f will help and Saffie Osborne, continues in the plate.

Wild Thoughts looks to have his mind on the job at the moment and I think he can land the three-timer.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips

2:40 Yarmouth FASHION PEOPLE

William Buick rides for the Gosden team here and looks to have a great chance of leaving Yarmouth with a winner.

This 3yold filly was well-backed on her debut at Newcastle last November and that form has been boosted with the second winning since.

She also holds an entry for the G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, so connections clearly feel she’s useful.

Therefore, she’ll need to be winning this well if those lofty expectations are to be tried.

I feel Fashion People will have way too much ‘style’ here.

5:02 Redcar KING OF BERKSHIRE

The form of the Andrew Balding yard is a little bit of a worry at present – just 3 wins from their last 32.

However, I’m hoping they can get back on track here with this Camelot colt.

He’s 0-4 so far but took a big step forward the last day, when a short-head silver at Yarmouth over today’s trip.

Is actually down a pound for that run too and with that effort a clear sign he’s getting the hang of things – then Berkshire King can sit on the winners’ throne today.

5:25 Punchestown KOPEK DES BORDES

Bombed out at long odds-on at this meeting last season, so there are some niggles.

But has had a slightly lesser campaign this season and probably should have won the Arkle the last day but for a pecking late on.

Is 9lbs clear on the ratings too and so it will be disappointing, considering he’s the jolly for next season’s Queen Mother Champion Chase, if he can’t beat this bunch.
