Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip
7:50 Lingfield WILD THOUGHTS (NAP)
Like many, I was taken by the way this Richard Spencer 3yold quickened clear to win last week at Redcar.
Going in by 4 1/4 lengths at the line, with that his first run after being gelded.
Out again quickly with a 6lbs penalty and switched to the AW but no reason why Lingers won’t suit.
Saffie rides again and with only four career runs there should be more to come from this Lucky Vega gelding.
I ‘think’ it will be a shock if Wild Thoughts isn’t going in again.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:47 Yarmouth NEVASCA CINZA
The James Fanshawe yard are in good order at the moment and had a nice winner for us yesterday too.
I think they can fire in another here with this grey 3yold, who returned earlier this month to run well.
Came 4th that day (of 13) and with that also being his first run for the yard (came fro Lucinda Russel), they would have learned plenty.
It was also his first since being gelded and first outing since last September – so a big step forward today looks on the cards.
4:50 Punchestown KITZBUHEL (NB)
Landed the Browns at the Cheltenham Festival last month in gutsy fashion and providing that effort hasn’t left a mark will be hard to beat.
Is a top jumper that when getting into a rhythm out in front and with 48 days to get over that last run should be ready to rumble again.
Willie Mullins likes this race too – winning 3 of the last 5, while Kitzbuhel is a proven course winner here at Punchestown and a winner on today’s better ground.
With stamina question marks over some of his main rivals, then I’m happy to side with Kitzbuhel to collect again.
6:50 Lingfield KNIGHTS CHARGE
This Roger Varian runner caught my eye when running on well at Kempton last year – finishing third.
The form of that race looks solid too, with the winner King’s Trial winning again since.
While the step up to 1m2f today (from 1m) also looks a good move by connections.
Looks to have the Godolphin horse Cyrano De Bergerac to beat, but hopefully Knights Charge can see him off by more than a ‘nose’.
