Today’s Each-Way Horse Racing Betting Tips: Tuesday 28th April, 2026
2:20 Southwell: SAISONS D’OR
Won this race last season and I think this would have been the plan again today.
Is also back rated 2lbs lower than last season’s win in the race.
And despite being no spring chicken at 11, showed earlier this month (4th) that he’s still enjoying his racing.
The 10/1, for a horse we know likes today’s conditions, looks a fair each-way price.
3:22 Yarmouth: KEEP IT CLASSIC
The William Haggas yard are also respected here at Yarmouth – with a 28% SR with their 3yolds at this seaside venue.
This Too Darn Hot gelding is yet to score but has only had four career runs.
But the key today looks to be his first outing in a handicap and on a lowly mark of just 55.
Cieren Fallon rides too and the cheekpieces on for the first time are also a plus.
I’d not be shocked to see a big step forward today, in what looks a very average contest.
3:40 Punchestown: DAVY CROCKETT
Some might think I’ve gone mad here – and maybe I have.
But bear with me.
Yes, this Mullins runner hasn’t quite fulfilled his breeding potential – being by Derby winner Camelot and Champion Hurdler Annie Power.
However, the key to a return to form today could be the better ground and also the return to Punchestown.
He won a NH Flat race here on debut and all three of his career wins have been on good or yielding ground, which he’ll get today.
The tongue-tie is also an interesting addition and Mark Walsh rides.
In a very open race – and one Mullins has won 4 times in the last 7 years, Crockett could just bounce back on the ground with only 10-3 to carry.
4:58 Epsom: TRIBAL RHYTHM
Another horse running today that won the same race 12 months ago.
An angle I like as we know conditions will suit.
This runner is probably more of a win play, than an e/w bet (re the odds). But is back rated only a pound higher than last year’s win.
Oisin Murphy is an obvious eye-catcher in the plate too this 5yold will strip a lot fitter for a recent silver at Bath.
Tribal Rhythm looks to have all the right moves today.
