Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip
3:45 Lingfield EL MATADOR (NAP)
This Ralph Beckett runner stands out for me today – having been eased in grade and gelded since his last run.
Did well last May with two wins and then was tried in better class handicap races than today.
He failed to win one of these but still ran some fair races in defeat.
But probably wasn’t quite suited by the slightly softer ground in his last three runs too.
First run on the AW here today, but with his two turf wins coming on quick surfaces then there’s every reason to think it will suit.
El Matador is taken to hit the ‘bullseye’ today.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
4:15 Lingfield GLADIADORA
Got home by a head at Southwell at the end of March and only just went down by a nose last time at Nottingham.
I feel back on the AW though and back to 7f (ran over 1m 1/2f last time) can see her get back to winnings ways.
Liam Wright also gets on well with the horse and is able to take off a handy 5lbs still.
Gladiadora is the call to out-battle this lot.
4:30 Bath CANDONOMORE
Has run too fine seconds this month already and I’m expecting another bold bid up with the pace today.
The Bath track should suit his running style as likes to get on with things and on this firm ground might just be hard to keep tabs on.
In a race with most of the others having a bit to prove on current form this Stuart Williams runner looks the most reliable option for me.
6:45 Naas FORCE NOIR (NB)
Speedy sort from the Amo Racing gang, who only just failed on debut at the Curragh.
I feel that experience would have taught him bundles and was also impressed how he battled back after being headed.
With the expected improvement and that run under his belt, Noir should be too much of a ‘force’ here.
