Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip
4:38 FFOS LAS: CRYSTAL ISLAND
Crystal Island won well on his first run over hurdles at Ascot back in December and I think he’s the safest call here.
The Hendo camp have resisted the temptation of running him since and this is Nico de Boinville’s only ride on the day.
The form of that race looks solid too, with several fair sorts in behind running well since.
Including the 4th Gaelic Pride, who has gone onto win twice.
Crystal Island can sparkle here.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:17 PONTEFRACT: LADY YOUMZAIN
This Kevin Ryan filly is another that impressed my (and others) when winning on debut at Beverley.
That came back in September so connections are taking their time with her.
While the step up to 6f (from 5f) doesn’t look an issue based on how she won the last day on soft ground (5 lengths).
2:35 YARMOUTH: BRILLIANT STAR
The Gosden yard are going great guns at present (see today’s trainer stats) and could have another shining light here with Brilliant Star.
See caught my eye at Newcastle on debut back in November over 1m (2nd) and I think, being by Cracksman, upped in trip today will bring out more improvement.
Robert Havlin rides and the yard also boast a solid 24% SR with their horses here at Yarmouth.
5:00 WOLVERHAMPTON: FINAL APPEAL
2yold from the Karl Burke yard that I thought made a pleasing debut at Nottingham earlier this month (2nd).
Sure to have learned a lot from that experience and no reason why the switch to the AW won’t suit.
This one makes plenty of ‘appeal’.
