Horse Racing Lucky 15 Tips – Today’s ‘Muggy’ Favourites Acca 📝😉

  • 4:00 Fontwell: UNKNOWN ENTITY
  • 4:30 Fontwell: MON CHAMPION (NB)
  • 4:50 Wetherby: YUMMY (NAP)
  • 5:12 Dundalk: THE LIFFEY

📈 See Andy Newton’s horse racing NAP results for 2026 below ⬇️

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

4:50 Wetherby: YUMMY (NAP)

With a Skelton hot-pot at Fontwell (see below) it seems significant that Harry Skelton prefers to head to Wetherby to ride this 5yold.

He as a fair 4th last time at Donny but is  down 2lbs for that and only has 10-9 here, but is also up in trip.

The longer distance looks a big plus (3m), having stayed on well over 2m 1/2 last time.

Has only had five career runs too and looks a typical Skelton improver.

I’ll take Yummy to eat them up here.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

4:00 Fontwell: UNKNOWN ENTITY

On what we’ve seen so far, this Dan Skelton runner should have little trouble taking this.

Was last seen running a fair 5th (17) in a Grade 3 at Sandown and before that was only just beaten by Gaelic Pride at Wincanton.

The tongue-tie is on today too with little in the way of oppo it should be plain sailing for this 6yold.

4:30 Fontwell: MON CHAMPION (NB)

The Paul Nicholls yard have a massive 57% SR with their chasers here at Fontwell – with this horse adding to those stats with a win here last time.

Up 6lbs for that 13 length win looks fair and despite a bit worse off with the second Rip Wheeler had enough in-hand at the line to make him the one to beat again.

Mon can be Champion again.

5:12 Dundalk: THE LIFFEY

Denis Gerard Hogan has three here in the race but his best chance looks to be the hat-trick seeking The Liffey.

This 5 year-old is on a three-timer after wins here over 1m and 6f – is back to 7f this time but that isn’t an issue and jockey Reece Holohan rides again to take off a handy 7lbs.

Today’s Each-Way Horse Racing Betting Tips🏇

3:50 Wetherby: PARRAMOUNT

Sean Bowen booked to ride catches the eye for this Charlie Longsdon runner.

Yes, the horse needs to bounce back from some average recent runs, but is down 4lbs from last time and is running for the first time over fences today, which could spark a return to form.

But the big plus – away from Bowen riding – is the good form of the yard with their runners over fences here (42%), which adds further confidence.

5:05 Fontwell: HELLO CELLO

Fell the last day at Taunton but is back to Fontwell where she won back in October and is only 4lbs higher here.

The Fry yard have given her 3 months to get over that tumble and is also eased back in grade today.

With the final bonus the SR of the yard at the moment – with 3 winners from their last 6 sent to post (50%).

7:00 Newcastle: POWER FIZZ

A big pot on offer here and this William Haggas runner makes the long trip up to try and bag it.

This 4yold heads here with 3 wins from his 7 starts and has been gelded over the winter.

Is also a course winner here at Newcastle and has shown enough speed to suggest the drop back to 6f will be fine.

But will also stay well – having won over 7f three times.

The Haggas team also boast a 39% SR with their 4yold at Gosforth Park.

8:00 Newcastle: PHILANTHROPIST

This James Fanshawe runner has been a tad frustrating in recent runs – but is often never too far away in his races.

Down a pound more for a recent 6th at Kempton and also back to 7f will suit.

He also returns to Newcastle, where he’s won at before and the yard are another in good order at the moment, with 4 winners from their last 11.

8:30 Newcastle: PIXIE DIVA

Today’s final pick comes in the last at Newcastle – a George Scott runner that is slowly slipping back down the handicap (76).

Also ran a close 2nd here over CD last August off a 2lb higher mark and returned 2 weeks ago with a fair 6th that should have her spot on.

The Scott camp also do well at Newcastle in general – backed up with a 31% SR with their 4+ year-olds here.

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇Trainer Clive Cox has a 44% SR with his 4+ yolds at Lingfield – 3:12 Sergeant Pep
🏇2:20 Wetherby: Trainer Olly Murphy has won this race twice in the last three runnings – Magnifica
🏇6:45 Dundalk: Jockey Colin Keane has won 3 of the last 6 runnings – Mephisto
🏇Trainer Paul Nicholls has a 57% SR over fences at Fontwell – 4:30 Mon Champion

Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️

🏇6:00 Newcastle: CAYMAN TAI (295 miles), Richard Hannon
🏇7:00 Newcastle: WHEELS OF FIRE (295 miles), Richard Hannon
🏇8:00 Newcastle: BEST RATE (295 miles), Richard Hannon

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇4:25 Newcastle: DREAM ILLUSION

Been in great form of late – winning last time at Southwell but is up another 2lbs here and doesn’t have a 3lb claim riding this time.

Also only got home by a neck the last day and had 8-5 in that higher grade, but dropped in class now has 9-7 to burden.

Overall, in great form and respected, but just feel the handicapper is starting to catch up with him.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

Horses Running Today That WON The Same Race Last Year (UK & Ireland) 🏇👀

🏇2:50 Wetherby: MIXEDWAVE – Won this off a mark of 95 last season and is now back on the same rating.

“I know Parramount is age 10, but I have been trying to persuade his owner to let me run him in a chase for a while now. This track and ground should be ideal and if he handles this new discipline it could open up an extra dimension to his career.” Charlie Longsdon

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP – but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing – and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet.

The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

        • 6 Doubles
        • 4 Trebles
        • 4 Singles
        • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total – 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

        That’s it – you’re in.
