ITV Racing – This Week’s Live Meetings (2nd-8th March 2026) 📺

ITV’s next live broadcast comes on Saturday 7th March featuring racing from Sandown and Wolverhampton.

At Sandown there are four races live, that include the Imperial Cup (2:27) – a race that carries a £100,000 bonus should the winner go onto win any 2026 Cheltenham Festival race the following week.

There have been three winners of the bonus over the years – Olympian (1993), Blowing Wind (1998) and Gaspara (2007), who all followed up at the Festival.

Then at Wolverhampton there are three live ITV Racing scheduled contests that include the Lincoln Trial (2:42).

In total, there are SEVEN ITV Racing contests on Saturday 7th March to look out for – with the action on their ITV3 channel.

Is The Opening Show On ITV Racing This Saturday? 📺

Yes. The Opening Show airs at 9:30am on Saturday 7th March and will be broadcast on ITV.

This week’s programme comes live from Sandown with Oli Bell hosting the build-up to the afternoon’s action.

What Is The ITV Racing 7?

The ITV 7 is a free-to-enter weekly competition run during the live broadcast.

Viewers are challenged to select the winners of seven featured races — usually those shown live on the programme — for the chance to win a substantial cash prize.

The History Of ITV Racing 📜

UK terrestrial racing coverage was previously shared between the BBC and Channel 4.

That changed in January 2016 when Channel 4 lost the broadcasting rights after more than three decades.

ITV Racing officially launched in January 2017 and remains the UK’s only free-to-air television broadcaster dedicated to horse racing coverage.

Channel 4’s final day covering the sport came on 27th December 2016, featuring the Christmas meeting from Kempton Park and the Welsh Grand National from Chepstow.
