Rosenpur (12/1) won the 3:47 Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap (Class 3, 5f) at Redcar by a nose from fellow 12/1 shot Fidelius on Saturday, while Democracy Dilemma – the 5/4 favourite and the headline act of our morning preview – dropped away tamely to finish last of the five runners.

The Race Story
Five furlongs on the seaside straight produced a finish worthy of a far bigger field: two outsiders throwing everything at the line, a short head back to third and a head to fourth. Darragh Keenan got Rosenpur rolling at halfway for Jennie Candlish, and the German-bred mare found just enough to shade Fidelius in the photo, with Spring Is Sprung and Sports Coach inches away either side of them.
The one horse missing from the blanket was the one the market trusted. Democracy Dilemma, sent off at 5/4 on the strength of his Glorious Goodwood fourth, was expected to dominate from the front; instead he dropped to last inside the final furlong and weakened quickly in the closing 110 yards. Robert Cowell will look for answers; his backers already have theirs.
Tipster Accountability
Our Redcar preview made Democracy Dilemma the verdict – “to dominate from the front” – so that is a clear miss, though its value line on Spring Is Sprung at least made the frame. The Redcar four-fold had already fallen with Yimmna in the opener. None of the tracked tipsters in today’s tipster review had a runner in the race.
