LINGFIELD, 20:10 – A Lott Of Kane finally gave the Lingfield card a favourite backers could cheer at both ends, taking the Rodney Bay Classified Stakes at 6/4 under Joey Haynes for Chelsea Banham.

The Race Story
Ten went to post for the six-furlong Polytrack finale and the market got it right. Haynes kept things simple on A Lott Of Kane, sent off the 6/4 favourite having been put up at 5/4 in the morning, and the four-year-old did the rest, holding Dr Ali (12/1) by half a length with Henry Tudor (16/1) a length and a quarter away third.
Edergole’s Gift was a nose back in fourth at 9/1, while Just King High, the 9/4 second favourite, could manage only seventh. The winning time on the all-weather capped a card that had begun with upsets and ended with three favourites or market leaders obliging in a row.
Tipster Accountability
The verdict landed – again. Our morning Lingfield preview nominated A Lott Of Kane at 5/4, and after Huscal (19:40) and Kanzi (19:10) that makes it three winning verdicts in a row to close the meeting, four from five on the card overall. The sting: the one that got beat, Sunlit Sea in the 18:10, was the opening leg of the 27/1 accumulator, so the sequence pays nothing. None of the tracked tipsters in today’s review were involved here.
Looking Ahead
That was the last race of the night at Lingfield, and with Ayr’s finale off at 20:30 it closed out the British Saturday. Attention turns to Sunday’s cards, with the morning previews on site as usual from around breakfast time.
