Wyle Cop won the 6:10 Hyatt Inclusive Handicap at Lingfield at 9/1, quickening up well for Jason Watson and trainer Jack Jones to beat the 6/5 favourite Sunlit Sea by a length and a quarter.
| Pos | Horse | Jockey | SP |

Six three-year-olds contested the five-furlong Class 5 sprint on Standard Polytrack, with Go Lockers Go a length and a half back in third.
The Race Story
Sunlit Sea arrived two from two on turf and was sent off at odds-on-adjacent 6/5 to complete leg two of a Sir Mark Prescott–Luke Morris evening treble — but the treble was already dead, Si White having been turned over in the 5:40, and the front-running filly could not land this one on her own. She was collared by Wyle Cop, the outsider of the field at 12/1 in the morning, who relished the return to Polytrack and won going away. It is a first course success for the Jack Jones sprinter, who had been slipping down the weights all summer — this was the day the drop told.
Tipster Accountability
Another one for the bookmakers. Our Lingfield preview made Sunlit Sea the verdict, and her defeat kills the site’s 27/1 evening acca at the very first leg. The value line, Guernsey Lady at 7/2, missed the frame entirely. None of the tracked tipsters in today’s tipster review were engaged here.
Looking Ahead
The 6:40 Bay Gardens Handicap is the banker of the night on paper: Halimede, 5/6 in the morning and the most-tipped horse at the meeting, is quickly turned out under a penalty after bolting up at Catterick on Tuesday. Our result from that race follows shortly. The evening began with Femme Fatale winning a thriller in the 5:40 opener.
