3:47 Naas: CHESTER NIMITZ
The Gerard O’Leary yard have a 30% SR with their 4+yolds here at Naas and so a chance is taken on their 4yold here.
Gary Carroll gets the leg-up and connections are opting for the first-time tongue-tie to help leave some average runs behind.
He’s now also rated 67 and that’s 3lbs below his last winning mark, last October.
Yes, his last run at Fairyhouse was poor, but his three before that since moving from the Noel Meade yard have been fair.
In an open affair, Chester Nimitz is chanced.
6:00 Windsor: FAST STEPS
The Rod Millman team continue to be in fine form – coming into Monday with a 37% SR in the last 14 days.
This is an amateur riders race too, but Patrick Millman has a fair record already with 14 wins from his opening 85 rides.
Fast Steps is also a proven course winner here at Windsor and that experience will be a further plus.
In yet another race with many chances, I’ll take Fast Steps to be too quick.
7:30 Windsor: HAVANA HALO
The Dominic Ffrench Davis yard have a standout 60% SR (3-5) with their 4+yolds here at Windsor, so this Havana Grey filly stood out.
She heads here having yet to score, but has only had 7 races and is down another 3lbs today.
This 4yold filly has also run well here at Windsor in the past, which is a plus and Oisin Murphy is back on, having ridden her last August at Kempton (4th).
I also think this 6f trip is her best chance of breaking her duck at the moment, as she’s not looking like she’s getting home over 7f.
I’ll chance Havana Halo having the right aura tonight.
