Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Saturday 1st August, 2026)
2:43 Thirsk BRIGHTON BEACH (NAP)
There will be a lot of people on Brighton Beach today with the hot weather – and probably a lot of people on this horse too.
Jockey Danny Tudhope seems to love this race – winning 5 of the last 6 runnings.
While trainer William Haggas also has a top record in this contest – landing 50% of the last 6.
She was last of three at Chester, but only beaten 2 1/4 lengths and the two ahead of her look fair sorts.
Backed up with the second Summerson winning since.
There should be more improvement to come with only two career runs – so Brighton Beach can make a splash today.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Saturday 1st August, 2026)
2:02 Galway: COLUMBUS (NB)
This has been a kind race to the Willie Mullins yard in recent years – winning 3 of the last 6 – and they can uphold those stats here.
Columbus will also be ridden by Paul Townend and being a Group winner in France on the flat is a fair hurdling recruit.
Has only run the once over the sticks, but that was a fair 2nd at Killarney over 2m4f and should be better now dropped in trip.
I’ll side with Columbus to ‘discover’ the winning thread here.
6:15 Lingfield CAMPEONA
This looks your standard Sir Mark Prescott-trained 3yold improver who can run up a sequence.
She probably comes with some risks as still looks a bit green and not the most straight-forward.
But still heads here off the back of two wins – including at Newbury last week.
The cheekpieces are on again to help and a 4lb rise looks fair.
Dylan Hogan also takes over in the saddle from Luke Morris, which is a further plus in my book.
9:00 Hamilton PISANELLO
Course winner here at Hamilton in the past and heads here off the back of two wins at Redcar.
The last came in an apprentice race so escapes a penalty for that – but is actually 3lbs better off with the jockey also able to claim more this time.
Yes, that last win was only 3 days ago, but connections are clearly trying to cash in before his new mark kicks-in.
