Free Each Way Horse Racing Tips Today: Saturday 1st August, 2026

2:08 Thirsk: MIRSKY

I put this horse up on the Final Furlong Podcast on Thursday when he was 20/1 and he’s now been smashed off the boards into favourite.

He was last seen running a fair 9th at Sandown the last day in a hot handicap and is down a pound.

But is also back at his beloved Thirsk – a track he seems to save his best for.

Having won this last two starts here – including his most recent back in May off today’s mark.

Danny Tudhope, who rode him to his last win is back in the plate too.

3:35 Goodwood: TWO TRIBES

Took the Stewards’ Cup last season by an easy 2 1/4 lengths and despite being 7lbs higher looks primed to go well again.

He ran a blinder last week at Ascot when beaten only 1 1/4 lengths in the International and is back on the same mark.

Draw 13 will give him options and David Egan, who was on last year, rides.

Two Tribes can ‘go to war’ again.

4:45 Goodwood: REGENCY ROYAL

The Andrew Balding yard have a good record in this race – winning 3 of the last 5 – and so their Regency Royal is chanced.

This 2yold was a fair second on debut at Chester last month and looks the sort to benefit from stepping up to 7f (6f) today – running on well that day.

5:20 Goodwood: CREST OF FIRE

Ran recent easy Goodwood winner Ciarrai Abu close the last day at Ascot and with that form super-franked in the week should go well here.

This Jack Channon runner gets in only 4lbs higher and Tom Marquand takes over in the plate, having ridden him in the Britannia at Royal Ascot in June.

Crest Of Fire is the call to be too hot here.
