Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Tuesday 28th July, 2026)

3:10 Yarmouth MITHAALY (NAP)

Billy Loughnane is heading to Yarmouth today instead of Goodwood and he’s got a stack of good rides.

One of which i s this George Boughey runner, who caught the eye on debut at Windsor.

He got the hang of things late on to run on to take 2nd – beaten only 3/4 of a length.

Therefore, the step up from 6f to 7f looks a good move today and is the call to get off the mark at the second attempt.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Tuesday 28th July, 2026)

2:35 Yarmouth EDUCATOR

Another ride for Billy The Kid here is this Henrietta Knight-trained 7yold.

Yes, he’s been a frustrating horse, who is on a losing run of 15 – with his last success in May 2025.

But that came off a mark of 77 and is now rated 70 and only has two others to beat here.

Probably not the best value odd-on shot as there are risks, but the oppo he’s taking on have a fair bit to prove too.

Educator should really be teaching these two a lesson here.

3:35 Yarmouth SCANDINAVIA (NB)

It’s a repeat of the Ascot Gold Cup here between the pick and Trawlerman – and I think it should be the same result.

Yes, Trawlerman can be expected to be better for that run as it came off a break.

But he’s also 8 now and this race has only seen 3 winners aged 8+ since 1962.

On a plus the Gosden yard are in top form (47%) atm and there are some questioning the form of the O’Brien camp – who have only had 4 wins from their last 44.

But we all know there is only one way that SR can go for a yard like Ballydoyle and I’m happy to stick with last year’s winner of this race.

Scandinavia has won all four starts since landing this last season and despite never being a flashy winner, can ‘freeze’ the others out again today.

4:20 Yarmouth DIVOT

This William Knight runner has taken 17 races to get off the mark, which is a small worry.

But that came last time out here and in decent fashion.

He won by 4 1/2 lengths that day and is up 7lbs for that so more is needed.

However, if allowed to dictate from the front again today and in the same mood, I think he’ll be hard to beat.

His trainer William Knight thinks the same – having told us at FromTheStables this morning.

“It took him a while to get there, but when he did last time at Yarmouth, Divot won as he liked. If he’s in the same form there today, he should be very hard to beat even off 7lb higher.” William Knight

Divot have leave his mark here.
