GLORIOUS GOODWOOD Horse Racing Tips On Wednesday 29th July 2026
Goodwood Races
13:50 – Coral Rewards Shaker (GBBplus Race) 1m4f (ITV)
HATTEEN took a bit of time to get going the last day, when winning at Doncaster, but when this Andrew Balding 3yold did finally hit the front he powered away to win by over 4 lengths.
That came in a Novice Stakes race and is into a handicap for the first time here, but could be on a fair mark (88).
While, with that last run his first over 1m4f, then I’m expecting more improvement to some. Oisin Murphy rides and the Balding team have history in this race – winning it with The Goat in 2023.
Of the rest, Infraad is noted for the Haggas yard and could take a step forward for the step up in trip – but was beaten at odds-on the last day.
While the Joseph O’Brien team took this last year and they run Cannes, who was 14th in the King George V Stakes last time – but that form is working out well.
With the 2nd Al Azd bolting up at Sandown since.
However, another horse that ran in that Royal Ascot race was TIERRA DEL TORO.
He was 9th and if settling a bit better this time is given another chance to as Goodwood might suit this Wathnan horse better.

14:25 – British Stallion Studs EBF Alice Keppel Fillies’ Conditions Stakes (GBB Race) 5f (ITV)
Another race with a lot of Royal Ascot form on show – including the Queen Mary Stakes form, where the 10th that day WILD BLOSSOM is back out.
She just seemed to do a bit too much too early that day so the quicker track here at Goodwood is expected to suit her better.
But she was still only 4 1/2 lengths off the useful winner Victorious and the second Senorita Bonita has since come out and won the July Stakes.
Prior to that Royal Ascot run, she was a super-impressive winner at Carlisle, beating Crownbreaker, who has since landed a Listed race in France.
I’ll take Wild Blossom to bloom again here.
Of the rest, the other Wathnan runner Hidden Gift was a fair 5th in the Albany Stakes and looks sure to be in the mix.
While I was taken with the way ZIGAZIG AH won the Wetherbys Super Sprint last time at Newbury and could be a ‘spicy’ alternative to the main pick.
Saffie Osborne rides and there are not many jockeys in better form at the moment. They will be hoping for some ‘Girl Power’ all the way.

15:00 – Rolls-Royce Oak Tree Stakes (Group 3) 7f (ITV)
ZANTHOS has had a few excuses the last few races – as didn’t seem to stay 1m on heavy ground in France in May.
While last time the 6f Commonwealth Cup experiment also didn’t quite work (16th).
But she’s back to 7f here and this has been by far her best trip – winning twice and running Touleen to second.
These runs also all came on faster ground, which she’ll get on Wednesday and Oisin Murphy continues in the plate.
I’d not be shocked to see her bounce back.
Flora Of Bermuda won the G3 Summer Stakes at York last time over 6f and connections are upping her to 7f here.
She’s a horse that has looked as if the extra furlong will suit – but it doesn’t always pan out that way. Regardless, she’s still feared.
Sayidah Dariyan with Ryan Moore riding is noted too, while with the Ralph Beckett team winning the last two runnings, then his pair Planet Seeker and Dash Of Azure have to be respected too.
Especially the former, who was impressive when winning for Jamie Spencer (rides again) last time at HQ and is also a course winner here at Goodwood.

15:35 – Veuve Clicquot Molecomb Stakes (Group 3) 5f (ITV)
Yet more Royal Ascot form on show here, including PERSHAADA, who was 4th in the Queen Mary.
I’ve already mentioned I think the form of that Ascot juvenile race is one of the best on show – backed up with the second Senorita Bonita winning the July Stakes since.
This Hannon horse was only 2 1/2 lengths off the winner that day, but crucially this Persian Force filly has winning form here at Goodwood.
She landed a Novice Stakes race here towards the end of May.
The final plus, is that the Hannon yard have a fair record in the Molecomb – winning two of the last five.
Of the rest, Brazilian Diva is worth a mention – purely as her trainer Diego Dias is 3-3 here at Goodwood. She was last seen running Carry The Flag close at Naas.
I think El Floridita is a tad overpriced too, having run an excellent race to be second to Orthodox in the Norfolk.
The unbeaten Adonius has done little wrong and looks a star in the making for Rebecca Menzies, while Crownbreaker and Ruler’s Pride (will be better now dropped back to 5f) are players too.

16:10 – Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes (Group 1) 1m (ITV)
BOW ECHO can keep his unbeaten record intact here and inflict his third win over Gstaad this season.
This George Boughey runner has already beaten him in the 2000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes this season and more of the same looks on the cards.
Yes, last time at Ascot, Gstaad got to within a short-head of Bow Echo, but the winner had to come round the houses wide and actually did very well to win that, for me.
Gstaad also has gate 1 and we’ve only seen one winner from the inside berth in the last 20 runnings, plus there are still some small wranglings about the form of the Aidan O’Brien camp.
I think Opera Ballo can give Bow Echo most to think about this time. He’ll be better for a bend this time after running 2nd in the Queen Anne on the straight course last time.
The niggle is that he’s got to give a massive 8lbs away to Bow Echo and Gstaad, which won’t be easy considering he’s also rated a pound inferior to the 2000 Guineas winner.
A small case can be made for last season’s Vintage Stakes winner Zavateri as we know he handles the track, but does need to find a bit of his old form that saw him beat Gstaad in the National Stakes at the Curragh last September.
