Andy Newton’s Lay Of The Day Horse Racing Tip: Monday 27th July 2026
6:00 Ripon: BALDOSA
Will have her backers today after a few good runs recently – including a win at Nottingham earlier this month.
But failed to back that up next time at Redcar off today’s slightly higher (2lb) mark.
Connections have booked Ethan Tindall to take off 3lbs this time, so that brings her mark back to 1 pound lower to that recent win.
However, I’d still be worried about the overall SR of the Nigel Tinkler yard here at Ripon – they are only 9-102 and only 2-39 with their 3yolds.
Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).
