Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Sunday 26th July, 2026)
4:42 Uttoxeter AT THE OCHE (NAP)
This former Twiston-Davies runner is now with the Skelton team and looks an interesting runner over fences for the first time.
Having his first run for the yard and heads here having had a wind op back in May too.
Is also into a handicap for the first time on a fair mark of 108, having shown a good level of form over hurdles last season.
Still lightly-raced with just 9 career runs (2 wins) and with both career wins coming on good ground, then today’s conditions will be ideal.
Recent Bangor winner Country Park looks the main threat, but At The Oche is the call to hit the ‘bullseye’.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Sunday 26th July, 2026)
2:12 Uttoxeter VIETNORM
Versatile horse that has been winning on both the flat and over jumps this year.
Back over the sticks here after winning on hurdles debut at Market Rasen in the middle of June.
Does have to give 7lbs away to the others as a result, but got the job done by 8 1/2 lengths that day.
Danny McMenamin, who rode him to that win, keeps the ride.
2:30 Pontefract ASSET (NB)
The Prescott horses are starting to find their feet and it will be a shock if they are not firing in another winner here.
This 3yold has been a tad frustrating with four placed runs to date, but that is still the best form on show here.
The race is also called the Malcolm Prescott 80th Birthday Maiden – so (I’m not sure), but you feel there is a connection with the trainer here (wink wink).
4:00 Pontefract HOLLOWAY BOY
The Karl Burke yard are in good order – coming into Sunday on a 31% SR in the last 14 days.
He takes on Point Lynas, who won this race in 2024, but they meet on level weights, but the pick is rated 6lbs higher.
Holloway Boy also heads here off a blinding second in the G2 Summer Mile to the classy Zeus Olympios – beaten just 1/2 a length.
With other decent horses like More Thunder and Seagulls Eleven behind.
The only niggle is that he’s a horse that doesn’t win as much as he should, but eased back into Listed level in not the best-looking race, will give him a huge chance.
