Andy Newton’s Lay Of The Day Horse Racing Tip: Wednesday 22nd July 2026

4:42 Catterick: MISS RAINBOW

Course winner here at Catterick but I think in an average race is worth taking on at the prices today.

Yes, ran a good 3rd last time at Carlisle and is dropped a pound too – but is still 2lbs higher than her last win.

She’s won 5 times in total in her career, but these have also all been in marks 58 or lower.

While the final negative for me is the 3-46 SR the Tracy Waggott yard have with their 4+yolds here at Catterick.

So, I’m happy to look for something else here to land the ‘pot of gold’ and not Miss Rainbow.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).
