The first of today’s free each way horse racing tips comes at Newmarket and in a race we’ve got last year’s winner back for more.
Angel Shared took this prize 12 months ago rated 78 and despite being 83 now, still looks to be a big player.
This race would have been the target again and Dougie Costello, who rode last year, is in the saddle again.
She heads here 3-1-1-1 on the July course at Newmarket.
I’ll take Angel Shared to sprout wings again this year at a venue we know she loves.
7:28 Newcastle: PADDY’S DAY
There’s a common theme with today’s each-way picks – horses that have done well in the same races in the past.
The next is this Nigel Tinkler entry, who took this pot last year rated 88 and is now back off a mark one pound lower (87).
He likes it here at Newcastle too – with seven career wins at Gosforth Park – and heads here off a fair 2nd last time at Donny.
We could see Paddy’s Day in June today.
8:10 Newmarket: DEREHAM
All eyes will be on this John Berry runner tonight at Newmarket – why?
He loves this race.
His won it three times since 2022 and is back to try for a fourth aged 10.
Last year’s win came off 52 and he’s now off 55 but should last time with a fair 4th at Yarmouth that he’s still got some life in the old legs.
He seems to go well for the ladies too – so Nicola Currie riding for the first time is another plus.
