Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
1:22 Punchestown – SUPERSUNDAE (NAP)
Sky Lord is noted, but the form pick here is the Willie Mullins-trained Supersundae.
He was a fair 2nd at Wexford the last day over 2m but should be more suited today by the longer trip (2m 4f) – having won over 2m6f back in April.
Anna McGuinness rides and takes off a handy 7lbs too and so Supersundae should really be winning on Sunday.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
2:07 Perth – TRIGG
The Skelton brothers are in top form at the moment, with the yard operating at 50% SR heading into today.
Flying Ace is respected but the Skelton’s Trigg looked a fair sort on his hurdles debut at Uttoxeter last time.
Yes, his jumping was a bit sketchy at times, but that should improve for that experience and is taken to have too much pace for his rivals here.
I’ll take the Skelton’s to ‘pull the trigger’ again.
2:52 Navan – OCEAN’S BREATH
Another yard that are going great guns at the moment is Ger Lyons – coming into today on a 45% SR.
They run Ocean’s Breath here, who has won two of his last three – with the most recent his most impressive at Fairyhouse when going in by 3 lengths.
Colin Keane rides and the return to 6f will pose no issues, having won over this trip on the AW at Dundalk in early April.
I’ll take Ocean’s Breath to make another splash here.
5:27 Punchestown – AL ARRIVEE
Patrick Mullins has a good record in this race – winning 3 of the last 4 – and he’s taken to carry on that good run here.
He rides this Willie Mullins-trained 6yold, who probably found things a tad too hot here the last day in a G3 NHFlat race.
Back in calmer waters today will help and she’s been freshened up with 39 days off.
