Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
2:00 Uttoxeter LORIKO (NAP)
The Harry Skelton yard continue to be in fine fettle (42% in the last 14 days) and they look to have another big chance here with Loriko.
This 5yold landed a match at Huntingdon in fair fashion last month and seems to have less questions to answer than the others here.
Biggles was a fair flat performer but is back from a 747 day break.
While White Riot fell the last day and might be the sort to do better over fences.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
6:10 Lingfield SUNSHINE STAR
Disappointed the last day at Sandown as an odds-on beaten favourite, but likely need that run after 6 1/2 months off.
That said, it was still a hot race with the winner Felicitas going into run well in the Musidora (2nd).
She ran well on debut (2nd) on the AW at Kempton too and in this easier race and with William Buick booked, Sunshine can ‘Star’ here.
6:30 Leopardstown ENDORSEMENT
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has the first two in the market here and really it will be one of the shocks of the day if Endorsement isn’t taking this.
This 3yold was third to Derby hopeful James J Braddock last time here – only beaten 1/2 a length – in the Derby Trial.
Which is clearly the best form on show and so Endorsement is given the clear ‘seal of approval’.
7:40 Lingfield FIRE THUNDER (NB)
Has been the bridesmaid twice in her opening two starts – but this Marco Botti filly is taken to get off the mark at the third try here.
Yes, there is a small worry that she does tend to get a bit outpaced in the early part of her races and will she have enough time up the Lingers straight to peg them back?
But I’m hoping Billy Loughnane can keep her more up with the pace today and with her experience and obvious plus, Fire can hopefully ‘Thunder’ home to grab her first win.
