Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
3:32 Listowel WHISPERING WILLOW
The Gavin Cromwell yard are going well at the moment (24%) and they really should be adding to those stats here.
This 5yold mare brings the best recent form to the table after a win over hurdles and then a third on her chase debut at Downpatrick last month.
She was only beaten 3/4 of a length that day too and with Keith Donoghue booked for this easier-looking race, then Whispering Willow is taken to quieten her rivals here.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
3:52 Lingfield MRAIR
Just the one ride for yesterday’s French Derby-winning pilot Ryan Moore and it will probably be the shock of the day if it’s not a winning one.
This George Scott runner made a pleasing debut at HQ, when 2nd to Al Hudiaba, who would have won at Yarmouth last week had he not jinked and unseated Tom Marquand.
So that form looks solid and with the expected improvement chucked in from run one to two, then this should be easy-peasy for Moore and Mrair.
6:45 Windsor GOLD DIGGER
Another horse that is sure to figure in a lot of multiples today is this Richard Spencer runner.
A nice winner at Yarmouth on debut over 6f in 2025 and ran a blinder at Ascot in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last season.
Hasn’t been out since as clearly had some setbacks, but on that form it will be a shock if Digger isn’t landing ‘gold’ today.
Saffie Osborne rides.
8:00 Wolverhampton KING OF EARTH
Seven Sisters is noted after a fair debut second – but she was beaten by a Haggas horse that day and I think it will be more of the same here.
King Of Earth will have the experience edge after three career runs and despite no wins yet, has run well in defeat each time.
Including a close second to Langstone, who ran well at the weekend and also last time out at Newbury when 2nd to Exclusive Code in a 25 runner maiden.
I’ll take King Of Earth to finally get that first ‘crowning’ win.
