Andy Newton Horse Racing: Today’s ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip
5:12 Leicester ALICE DE CLARE (NAP)
Got off the mark at the fifth try with an easy win at Yarmouth last time.
Up 9lbs for that, but I think she’s got a big chance of defying that rise now she’s got her head in front – winning by 3 1/4 lengths the last day.
Oisin Murphy is a big plus in the saddle too and the Fanshawe yard have a decent 37% SR with their 3yolds here at Leicester.
So Alice should really be in ‘Wonderland’ again today.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips
3:20 Redcar – GAELIC APPROACH
Just the three runners here and two are from the Middle Park Racing team – Wicksy and Gaelic Approach.
Of that pair, the former looks to be the more solid after two silvers and a gold in his last three runs.
While I think having won well over 1m4f at Leicester in April, he’s more likely to get this longer 1m 6f trip.
6:09 Plumpton GOODWIN
This Chris Gordon runner is not always the most straightforward, but does like it here at Plumpton.
His last two wins have come here – including last time out, when getting home by 2 3/4 lengths over this trip today.
The in-form Rian Corcoran rides and despite a big weight (12st 2lb), hopefully we’ll see another ‘Good’ ‘Win’ from this 8yold today.
7:24 Lingfield – WEFFAAG (NB)
Caught my eye (and most others) when running on to take third at Thirsk the last day over 7f.
Wasn’t give too much of a hard time that day and the step up to 1m here should to suit based on how he ran that day.
The Haggas team also boast a cracking 44% SR with their 3yolds here at Lingers and Tom Marquand rides for the first time.
Storming Point and Ascending Star are noted of the others, but Weffaag should have the fitness edge with this pair both back from breaks.
