Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Saturday 16th May, 2026

1:42 Newbury: STERLING KNIGHT

Twisting Physics is respected here and could be better than this grade.

But the better value to me looks to be this Ed Dunlop runner, who is dipping in class.

Ran a decent 3rd last time over today’s CD and also ran well (2nd) on this card last season (2:50).

He’s 1lb lower than that run here 12 months ago too and Cieren Fallon, who was the last jockey to win on him, is back in the plate.

Sterling Knight is the call to expose the chinks in his rivals armor – arrrgggggh!!

2:50 Newmarket: SILVER GHOST

This Emma Lavelle runner is of interest to me today too at HQ.

She’s a CD winner here and returned earlier this month with a fair 3rd over this CD too.

Down a pound for that helps and looks to be well drawn in 2 to go well again at a track we know she likes.

3:20 Bangor: KRAK

The Twiston-Davies camp have a cracking 50% SR with their hurdlers here at Bangor – oh, and also won this race last season.

They try again with this ‘double green’ entry, who needs to bounce back from some poor runs last time out.

But is down 3lbs more here and the cheekpieces are on for the first time today too.

While, having been running over longer, I think the drop back to 2m today is also a plus.

In an open race we could ‘krak’ the code with this 6yold.

3:45 Newbury: SAHARA KING

Roger Varian has a good record in this race so his Al Azd is noted.

But I think the Hannon runner Sahara King is slightly better value.

He’s only has three career runs and two starts ago was only a length off Maltese Cross at Newbury.

That form has been boosted since with that horse winning the Lingfield Derby Trial too.

And he’s since run well at HQ behind another improver.

I’ll take Sahara King to be too hot here.
