Today’s Each Way Horse Racing Tips: Friday 8th May, 2026

1:50 Ascot: ALBAYDAA

The William Haggas yard like this race – winning three of the last seven runnings.

Therefore, this 3yold stands out, with Tom Marquand heading to Ascot to ride too.

This Pinatubo filly was last seen running third at Newmarket last month, and with that run her first for 5 1/2 months, can be expected to have improved.

Is also back up to 7f today, the trip he won over at Wolves two starts ago.

3:05 Chester: CHEMISTRY

I think the Ryan Moore-ridden Galileo Dame is interesting too from gate 6 and a nice racing weight (8-12).

But the slightly better value could sit with Chemistry, who heads here off the back of a nice win over hurdles.

Draw 3 is ideal too, with most winners of the Chester Cup in recent years coming from 7 or lower.

While this former Aidan O’Brien runner was a Listed winner two seasons ago at Leopardstown.

Good ground is fine and we know he’s fine and in form.

David Probert rides and so I’d not be shocked to see Chemistry find the right ‘formula’ here.

4:45 Chester: TEMPLE OF ATHENA

The final of the each way horse racing tips comes at Chester too.

With this 5f sprint having a good stall stat that has been ALL of the last nine winners hail from gates 2-6.

This means five of the 14 runners are of interest – one being this Brian Ellison course and distance winner.

She won here back in September off 77 and is now rated 89, so has more on her plate.

The eagle-eyed will notice she also raced here on Wednesday and hung a bit that day.

But that came over 6f and I think the drop back to 5f will suit her better today.

Draw 2 is fine and she’s clearly none the worse for that spin two days ago so is given another chance.
