Andy Newton Horse Racing ‘NAP Of The Day’ Tip

3:18 Ffos Las – FAIRYE FORTH (NAP)

Some risks here with this race named the Micky Bowen 51 Winners Novices’ Hurdle and that yard having Getaway Vic, who is ridden by James Bowen.

However, Micky’s other brother Sean can spoil the party as he rides the Rebecca Curtis-trained Fairye Forth, who looks to have an obvious chance.

This 7yold was runner-up here last month, but separated two useful sorts – and was only 1 1/4 lengths off the winner Crystal Island, who looks a nice Nicky Henderson prospect.

Gets in here over the same trip and will be fine on the better ground too.

While with that only his second run over hurdles there should be a lot more in the locker.

So, I’ll take Fairye to go ‘forth’ here.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips

2:00 Ayr – RAILWAYMAN

This Karl Burke 3yold made a pleasing debut when third at Leicester last month and the winner Westport has gone in again – albeit at very short odds.

With the expected improvement the Railwayman should really be steaming home here.

6:12 HEREFORD – MACHETE BEACH

Another horse that should really be going in today is this Jamie Snowden hurdler.

The yard told us at FromTheStables this morning that the horse “should take all the beating” and it’s easy to see why.

He was a fine third the last day at Plumpton on his first run for the yard after running to a mark of 84 on the level for the Harry Charlton yard.

Will need to brush up his jumping a tad from last time, but seemed to be getting the hang of it late on and so we should see that experience improve him today.

Barring accidents Machete Beach will be too hot today.

6:38 Gowran Park – FAIYUM (NB)

The Ger Lyons yard won this race last season and also in 2019 – they look to have targeted the contest again with this Juddmonte Farms runner.

She was a Group Three winner last season, so dropping back into Listed level will back her hard to beat.

This 4yold has also won there at Gowran Park in the past too, so we know the track is fine and a recent return run at the Curragh should see her spot-on for this.
