Today’s Each-Way Horse Racing Betting Tips: Saturday 25th April, 2026
1:45 Sandown: COSMIC CONNECTION
This Chris Gordon runner caught my eye last time out when winning at Chepstow, on what was only his third career run.
That form was franked yesterday with the second The Kemble Brewery winning.
While prior to his recent win, the pick ran second behind the promising Hurricane Pat.
Yes, it won’t be easy giving weight to the Nicholls runner Minella Yoga.
But Cosmic looks progressive too and Sam Twiston-Davies is a plus in the plate.
Cosmic is the call to star.
2:05 Leicester: STRIKE RED
I put this horse up in The Final Furlong Podcast earlier in the week and the has been backed a bit since.
But the reason this horse stood out that he was a fine 2nd in this race last season off 98 and is back rated just 86.
Meaning he’s 12lbs better off and connections have also booked the useful Warren Fentiman to claim a further 3lbs.
He was also runner-up in the Stewards’ Cup last season off 94 and is 8lbs lower than that run.
Win, lose or draw – this horse is very well handicapped at the moment. So should be going in soon.
However, a recent third at Newcastle would have him spot-on and so I think Red looks ready to Strike again.
2:35 Haydock: KORKER
Another well-handicapped horse at the moment is this Karl Burke runner.
Yes, he’s been an expensive horse to follow recently and should have won a few times last season.
But as a result is now 8lbs lower than his last winning mark, which was 102.
He’ll be better for a recent run at Donny in March and does seem to act on most ground.
Yes, there here a chance he’s just fallen out of love with the game.
However, he still ran well in enough races last season to suggest there’s another Korker of a win in him.
3:30 Sandown: MONTREGARD
Another horse I put up earlier in the week on the podcast and has been backed into favourite.
Which is not ideal as the bet365 Gold Cup trends tell us the race has only had one winning outright jolly since 1991.
JP McManus has also never won this race. But he’s gone close a few times and I think he can break his duck this year and be crowned champion owner again.
The Lacey yard remain in good form and having been pulled from the Scottish National last week, that could be a blessing with this looking a less demanding race on better ground.
Yes, the trip is an unknown, but he won well over 3m the last day at Ascot and that form has been franked since.
With the third Your Darling and even the 9th Joyeux Machin winning since.
While before that was second – again at Ascot – and had last week’s Scottish National winner Kap Vert in behind.
There’s a lot to like, but his price has unfortunately collapsed a bit.
