Today, like yesterday, I share my daily horse racing tips and cheat sheet covering everything you need to give the bookmakers a run for their money. I do the research, so you don’t have to. Published every morning, exclusively here on ReadHorseRacing.com by 10am.
Today’s horse racing schedule on April 19th, 2026
| Track | First Race | Number of Races | Where To Watch |
| Curragh (IRE) | 13:15 | 8 | Racing TV |
| Stratford | 13:58 | 7 | Racing TV |
| Plumpton | 14:17 | 7 | Sky Sports Racing |
Everyday I serve you up my NAP, NB, E/W and Full Lucky 15 selections across that day’s UK horse race meetings.
For those of you new to horse racing wondering what is a NAP, NB and E/W here it is.
Horse racing betting phrases
| Term | Meaning | Description |
| NAP | Best Bet of the Day | Derived from the card game “Napoleon.” This is a tipster’s most confident selection on a given racecard. |
| NB | Next Best | The tipster’s second strongest selection. If the NAP is the gold medal, the NB is the silver. |
| E/W | Each-Way | A two-part bet: one for the horse to Win and one for it to Place. It costs double your stake (e.g., a £5 E/W bet costs £10). |
| Full Lucky 15 | Comprehensive Multiple | A bet consisting of 4 horses across 15 separate bets: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator. |
On top of that, I go a bit deeper and flag up the day’s HOT TRAINERS, A LAY OF THE DAY, REPEAT WINNERS that are in action after winning the same race last season plus the day’s LONGEST TRAVELLERS. I also keep an eye out for any other bits of knowledge that will give you an edge when betting on the horse racing at Curragh, Stratford and Plumpton today.
