Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

2:25 Newcastle: STATEIRA (NAP)

The Andrew Balding yard could have a ‘Good’ Friday around the AW tracks with many leading chances – with one of their best hopes looking to be this 4yold.

This filly has impressed in her two wins here at Newcastle – winning by 4 1/2 and 4 lengths – and remains 2-2 at Gosforth Park and also unbeaten over today’s 7f trip.

She’s been freshened up with 77 days off since her last run, but has won off a break in the past with this big £77k pot clearly being the target since her last win.

Oisin Murphy, who was on the last day, gets the leg-up.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips🏇

3:07 Curragh: FAIRYUM

This Ger Lyons filly returns today having won 3 of her 4 career starts – and was super impressive in winning the last day at Gowran Park.

She bolted up by 7 lengths there on heavy ground and even though it’s questionable what she beat that day, it was still hard to not be taken.

Colin Keane has ridden her in all four career runs and rides again.

The Lyons camp also won this race in 2020.

4:42 Newcastle: BEYLERBEYI (NB)

Last season’s Cesarewitch winner for the Ian Williams yard and despite not winning since has been running well over shorter trips.

Is back up in distance today (2m 1/2f) and has acted well here at Newcastle in the past.

Yes, is rated 10lbs higher than his big Newmarket win from last season, but seemed to have a bit more up his sleeve and is still unexposed over these longer trips.

Billy Loughnane, who has won twice on him, keeps the ride.

5:27 Curragh: EMIT

Ran a close second last time to Tennesee Stud, who was placed in the Derby last season (3rd), and on these terms is the one to beat.

He’s been gelded since over the winter too and will have Ryan Moore in the saddle for the first time.

Dallas Star is noted and gets 7lbs off Emit, but is still rated 13lbs inferior – so if running to form Emit still has 6lbs up his sleeve.

Today’s Each-Way Horse Racing Betting Tips🏇

3:35 Newcastle: BERKSHIRE WHISPER

Many chances here but a chance is taken on another Andrew Balding runner, with Oisin Murphy riding.

This 4yold won on this card last season, when taking the 6f handicap (1:50pm).

Hasn’t won a race since but is 2-3 here at Newcastle and has been gelded over the winter.

Draw 2 looks fine and with the Balding yard going well, this proven winner at the track could just be going under the radar here.

3:50 Lingfield: THE DRAGON KING

Another super-tough race to unravel but with the Clive Cox yard having a massive 41% SR with their 4+olds at Lingfield, The Dragon King is worth an interest.

This 4yold doesn’t have the best draw in 10, but can hopefully be dropped in – while over this longer trip (1m) will have more time to get going.

Yes, the distance is a slight unknown – having run over 5f-7f in the past, but has won well over 7f in the past to suggest it’s worth a go – and could even eke out a bit more improvement.

5:00 Lingfield: PARTY ISLAND

The Denis Coakley yard are in great form at the moment – heading into today with 3 wins from their last 7 runners.

They a few (see below), but this 9yold catches the eye – having run well last time here.

Was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths that day over 1m4f but is down a pound and connections have booked Owen Lewis to claim 5lbs this time.

Upped in grade too, but that means less racing weight to carry than last time, with his last career win also coming off a pound higher mark.

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP – but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing – and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet.

The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

        • 6 Doubles
        • 4 Trebles
        • 4 Singles
        • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total – 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

        That’s it – you’re in.
