1:50 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – BetMGM All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships Handicap Cl2 (3yo) 6f ITV4

Trainer Andrew Balding and jockey Oisin Murphy have teamed up to win the last two runnings of this race and look to have another big chance with SILENT STRIKE.

This 3yold colt was a close second here over CD last month – albeit as a beaten favourite. But is into a handicap for the first time here and with only three career runs should have more to come.

The yard remains in good form too and also boast a cracking 32% SR with their 3yolds at Gosforth Park.

At bigger prices, Rogue Supremacy and Sparksmith could outrun their odds for yards that also often do well at this track with his age group.

🥇SILENT STRIKE
🥈ROGUE SUPREMACY
🥉SPARKSMITH

2:25 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – BetMGM Fillies’ And Mares’ Championships Handicap Cl2 (4yo+) 7f ITV4

On what could be a good day for the Andrew Balding yard and jockey Oisin Murphy – STATERIA – is the call to take the second ITV race at Newcastle.

This 4yold filly heads here having won three of his seven starts, including an impressive success here at Newcastle last time out. Winning by 4 lengths.

Up 10lbs for that win requires more but has been freshened up with 77 days off with this big pot (£77k) the target.

Of the rest, the James Horton-trained Fouette has gone well fresh in the past and Billy Loughnane catches the eye booked to ride Callianassa for trainer Brian Ellison.

🥇 STATERIA
🥈FOUETTE
🥉CALLIANASSA

3:00 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – BetMGM All-Weather Championships Mile Handicap Cl2 (4yo+) 1m ITV4

Storm Star won this race 12 months ago and is yet another Andrew Balding runner on the card with a chance.

While the consistent pair of First Principle and the good-looking Tyrrhenian Sea shouldn’t be far away.

But Balding and Murphy have another runner too – THE LOST KING.

This 4yold bypassed the Lincoln Handicap last weekend to come here and impressed to win at Wolves last time.

He beat First Principle that day by 1 1/4 lengths and is only a pound worse off – and also had last week’s Lincoln jolly La Botte back in fourth.

🥇THE LOST KING
🥈STORM STAR
🥉TYRRHENIAN SEA

3:35 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – Midnite All-Weather Sprint Handicap Cl2 (4yo+) 6f ITV4

Fivethousandtoone took this pot in 2024 for the Tim Easterby yard – and is back rated 2lbs lower but is now also aged 8.

Heavenly Heather was a shock 200/1 winner on the card 12 months ago too and does seem to save her best for Newcastle.

Berkshire Whisper is another Balding/Murphy runner to consider – he won a race at his fixture last season too. However, is now rated 9lbs higher.

In a race with many chances, that include Sir Les Patterston, Sarab Star, Pocklington and Lakers – a chance is taken on MARSHMAN for the in-form Karl Burke yard.

This 6yold has been running well in better races recently and so dropped back into a handicap will make life a bit easier.

Plus was a close third in this contest last season – however, returns rated 5lbs lower.

🥇MARSHMAN
🥈BERKSHIRE WHISPER
🥉SARAB STAR

4:10 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – Midnite All-Weather Easter Classic Middle Distance Handicap (GBBPlus Race) Cl2 (4yo+) 1m2f ITV4

Regal Ulixes will be popular here. Who is yet another for Balding and Murphy.

While Billy Loughnane rides for Willie Mullins here on Gaucher and is sure to attract interest too.

Another Balding runner Teumessias Fox looks to be running into form too after a running on third to Survie at Lingfield last time. Plus is dropped a pound.

But at a big price the Lucy Wadham runner THE GLEN ROVERS is worth a small e/w interest.

He gets in with just 8-8 in racing weight and is now only 3lbs higher than when last winning.

Plus, the Wadham team boast a cracking 57% SR (4-7) here with their older horses.

🥇THE GLEN ROVERS
🥈TEUMESSIAS FOX
🥉GAUCHER

4:42 Newcastle (AW) Tapeta – Midnite All-Weather Easter Plate Marathon Handicap (GBBPlus Race) Cl2 (4yo+) 2m½f ITV4

Prydwen took this race in 2024 and is back rated 3lbs lower so certainly can’t be ruled out at a big price.

Tribal Star was 2nd in 2025 too and Duke Of Oxford was 4th. But it’s hard to ignore the Cesarewitch Handicap winner BEYLERBEYI for trainer Ian Williams.

This 6yold is up 10lbs from that big Newmarket win last season but has returned this season in good order too – with three good placed runs.

Including the most recent when second to Regal Ulixes, who goes in the previous race.

But his runs this season have come over shorter, so the return to longer (2m) and more like the Cesarewitch winning tip, he will be hard to beat.

Billy Loughnane, who has ridden him in his last four, keeps the ride.

🥇BEYLERBEYI
🥈DUKE OF OXFORD
🥉PRYDWEN

Lingfield Horse Racing Tips

1:30 Lingfield (AW) Polytrack – BetMGM All-Weather Vase Fillies’ Handicap Cl4 (3yo+ 0-80) 7f ITV4

Lady Manzor won this race in 2025 and is back rated just 3lbs higher.

Cool Molly has been running well of late, with a win here at Lingfield and a second last time at Newcastle.

But is up 3lbs more and draw 11 doesn’t look ideal.

Dandy Khan, Handle With Care and Party Bear are the only other CD winners in the field.

But the one they’ve all got to beat looks to be LADY DORA MAE.

This George Boughey runner has won his last two by narrow margins and is only  up a pound for the last of those.

But connections have booked Jack Callan to take off 5lbs this time, meaning she’s actually 4lbs lower than last time.

Draw 3 is fine and the slight rise in grade means she’s also go 12lbs less in actual racing weight this time.

🥇LADY DORA MAE
🥈PARTY BEAR
🥉LADY MANZOR

2:05 Lingfield (AW) Polytrack – Midnite All-Weather Vase Marathon Handicap (GBBPlus Race) Cl4 (4yo+ 0-80) 2m ITV4

St Faz has done really well of late – winning his last three. But is up 11lbs for the last of those and you feel the handicapper is starting to catch up with him.

Shrimp Shady can go well too after a nice win at Wolves last time – is up to 2m (from 1m6f) here though and raised 2lbs for that nose win.

So at a bigger price a chance is taken on the David Simcock runner – CHARLIE’S CHOICE.

He was well back the last day at Newcastle but is unexposed over this longer trip and does seem to like it here at Lingers.

His last runs at the Surrey track read 2-4-2-1-3-1-1.

The 6yold is also down a pound from last time and connections have booked Taryn Langley to take off a further 5lbs.

🥇CHARLIE’S CHOICE
🥈SHRIMP SHADY
🥉ARC ZOOSVE

2:40 Lingfield (AW) Polytrack – Midnite All-Weather Vase Sprint Handicap Cl3 (4yo+ 0-90) 6f ITV4

Jack Callan booked to take off 5lbs for the William Haggas-trained Carbine Harvester is interesting, with this horse also a proven CD winner.

Dark Ace won well last time at Wolverhampton and is only up 4lbs for that.

Expect a late charge from The Thames Boatman and this return to 6f should suit him as he can often be a bit slowly away.

But UNCLE DON gets the nod on his first run for the Robert Cowell yard.

This 4yold was rated as high as 97 last year and is now off 84. Draw 2 looks ideal and the Robert Cowell yard also boast a 20%+ SR here with their 4+yolds.

Plus the stable also took this prize in 2023.

🥇UNCLE DON
🥈CARBINE HARVESTER
🥉THE THAMES BOATMAN

3:15 Lingfield (AW) Polytrack – Midnite All-Weather Vase Middle Distance Handicap (GBBPlus Race) Cl3 (4yo+ 0-90) 1m2f ITV4

The last four winners of this race came between stalls 2-6 and last year was won by Hitched.

Who is back for more but has gate 14 this time and is also 3lbs higher.

Toby Moore has been booked to ride for the Joseph O’Brien raider San Andreas and can take off a handy 7lbs.

While another Irish runner Unterberg will draw the eye after three straight wins but is up another 4lbs this time.

My Fermoy comes from the in-form Denis Coakley yard too and heads here in-form after a good win at Wolves.

But the Richard Hannon runner GREAT BEDWYN is chanced at a better price.

This 6yold was a close 2nd to the consistent Whitcombe Rockstar last time out at Kempton over 1m4f.

But is back to 1m2f this time, which will suit after getting a bit tired in the closing stages the last day.

Has been dropped a pound too (83) and is now rated 4lbs lower than his last winning mark (May 2025).

🥇GREAT BEDWYN
🥈MY FERMOY
🥉SAN ANDREAS

3:50 Lingfield (AW) Polytrack – BetMGM All-Weather Vase Mile Handicap Cl3 (4yo+ 0-90) 1m ITV4

Another tough race to unravel, with CD winners Borgi and Invited of interest.

While The Dragon King and the Hannon pair Angel Hunter and Talis Evolvere are also shortlisted.

But in a tricky contest, it could pay to just side with last year’s winner DINGLE.

This Julie Camacho runner was drawn 4 last year and strangely has been handed the same gate this time.

Yes, is rated 7lbs higher from 2025 but won off just 3lbs lower two runs ago at Newcastle.

Plus, does seem to like it here at Lingfield. With his recent runs here reading 1-3-3-4-2-1

🥇DINGLE
🥈THE DRAGON KING
🥉BORGI
