Back Our Constitution Hill Tricast Bet Ahead Of Kempton Run On Wednesday

Horse racing fans will be setting their alarms this evening for just before 7:30pm, as the Nicky Henderson star Constitution Hill is back strutting his stuff on the flat – this time at Kempton.

However, after bolting-up at Southwell the last day, it will be one of the shocks of 2026 so far if the 9yold isn’t winning again with ease.

Which makes him a poor betting proposition in the win market – meaning many punters will turn to a Constitution Hill tricast bet or even delve into the Distance Markets again.

Ryan Moore takes over from Oisin Murphy on Constitution Hill on Wednesday night – meaning it’s one champion jockey for another.

Murphy guided the 2023 Champion Hurdle winner to an easy 9 1/2 length win at Southwell on his flat debut last month.

See just how easy he won by on the ITV Racing X feed below.

And so, in a similar race on Wednesday, Constitution Hill will be all the rage to win again – priced as a red-hot 1/6 favourite.

With a win all but assured, punters will turn to other betting options to have a wager on the race.

Including a Constitution Hill tricast or getting involved in the distance markets – in short, betting on HOW FAR he’ll win by.

Or wagering on the horses that will finish second and third (tricast).

Andrew Balding Pair Can Follow Home Constitution Hill

Away from Constitution Hill, the clear next best in the betting is the Andrew Balding-trained CLASSICAL ALLUSION, who is the call to take silver.

The Balding yard are in good form – heading into Wednesday with a 42% SR with their runners in the last 14 days (8-19).

This 4yold was a nice winner on his debut at Southwell back in September over 1m4f and the second Aajej has won since to boost the form.

It’s then a bit of a toss-up for third – between Roadlesstravelled, who was 6th behind Constitution Hill last time (beaten 15 1/2 lengths) and another Balding runner Serviceman.

Both are also coincidentally owned by Brook Farm Bloodstock, but at just 4, I’ll take SERVICEMAN to land the bronze and give the Balding camp a 2-3 in the race.

Yes, he’s not been out for 489-days, but has only had two career runs over 1m and 1m2f – showing fair promise in both.

Including being backed into favourite last time at Lingers.

He’s clearly had some issues – hence the long time off – but seems ready to roll here and with some Galileo in his breeding looks the sort that could improve for the longer trip.

Callum Hutchinson rides Classical Allusion and Jason Watson gets the mount on Serviceman.

Constitution Hill / Classical Allusion / Serviceman is on offer @ 4/1 with Paddy Power.

You Could Back Constitution Hill In The Distance Markets

Another popular Constitution Hill play on Wednesday will be in the distance markets – betting on how far he’ll win by.

Now, in a race like this it can be a tricky call too – as we don’t know if jockey Ryan Moore will ease him down a tad if (and when) the race is won.

Last time Oisin Murphy didn’t and rode Constitution Hill out to a huge 9 1/2 length win at Southwell.

Which rewarded our Final Furlong pal Saf Favli with a cracking £472.50 payout for just a £3.75 bet (see below).

With 125/1 offered on him winning by 8 lengths or more – you can follow Saf on X here.

Here are some Constitution Hill distance market betting options from Paddy Power (odds are subject to change).

But after his last win, the layers are unlikely to be offering such generous 125/1 odds on a wide margin victory.

In short, the distance markets might be harder to call tonight, which is why a Constitution Hill tricast bet could be the better option.
