Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Tuesday 21st July, 2026)
8:00 Wolverhampton BASED (NAP)
This William Knight runner didn’t seem to handle Newcastle the last day (7th) but before that was a good winner here at Wolves.
So the return to this venue is a big plus as he seems better going around a bend.
He also beat another rival today Musical Solider by 2 lengths that day, and despite meeting that horse on worse terms here I think he can uphold the form.
Based looked to have a bit up his sleeve there, plus Cieren Fallon (rode to only win) is back in the plate.
Therefore, I’m hoping Based is a ‘confident’ selection here.
“Based didn’t seem to enjoy Newcastle so he’s back around the bends of Wolverhampton where he has run two good races including the win two runs back. Also, he’s reunited with Cieren Fallon and they look to be the combination to beat.” William Knight told us this morning on FromTheStables.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Tuesday 21st July, 2026)
3:45 Nottingham GLAMORIZE
Just the three runners here but it’s hard to get away from the chances of this George Scott runner.
She was a good winner the last day here in a Novice Stakes race and is now into a handicap for the first time.
Does have to give a fair bit of weight away to the others being rated 84, but with only three career runs looks sure to have more improvement to come.
So with that added plus of being a CD winner, Glamorize seems a ‘good looking’ bet for today’s muggy.
7:00 Salisbury SYNDICALE (NB)
Half sister to the classy Ombudsman so will have that tag following her around for a while.
Makes her debut here today in a winnable-looking race, despite taking on a few horses that have had runs.
She had entries for later in the week too (Fri) but connections are coming here.
Plus also holds a G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes entry in September at the Curragh, so will need to be winning a race like this to have that prize in her sights.
The only slight niggle is some of Karl Burke’s 2yolds can need the run, but the market is speaking well for her chances and the fact Clifford Lee rides is also a plus she’s ready to rumble.
7:21 Salisbury TOPAZ
Today’s next muggy pick comes at Salisbury, in what should be a winner for jockey Billy Loughnane.
This Jack Channon-trained 2yold is yet to score from three runs but is into calmer waters today after running 15th (of 25) in the Albany at Royal Ascot.
Then last time was a fair 2nd in a better looking race than today’s at Newbury.
Topaz should have the right ‘minerals’ to get off the mark here.
