2:41 Perth: CONQUER THE BREEZE
Has obvious claims – having won three of his last four.
But the slight niggles for me are that these wins all came at Hexham and he’s up another 8lbs this time.
Yes, he’s down in grade too, but that means more racing weight as well – running with 11st 12lbs this time, as opposed to 10-5 the last day.
Conquer could breeze home again, but I also feel he’s got to kick on and find more, so at the prices I’d rather be with something else.
We’ll have last year’s winner Garde Des Champs, Hypotenus and handicap debutant Ras Kassar for the Pipe camp all running for us.
Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).
