Tom Ryan has launched Front Row Club, a new management banner for a major U.S. racing partnership, with Bob Baffert and the group’s core ownership model staying in place.
The move, announced on Tuesday, June 23, builds on Ryan’s work managing SF Racing since 2018 and gives the partnership a fresh structure for its younger horses and future acquisitions.
According to Thoroughbred Daily News, Front Row Club will continue managing the racing stable for long-term partners including Starlight Racing, Madaket Stables, Stonestreet and Mrs Dianne Bashor, while also bringing in new participants such as the Albaugh family.
What Changes Under Front Row Club?
The key point is continuity at the top. Ryan said the business model, primary owners and trainer Bob Baffert will remain unchanged, with bloodstock figure Donato Lanni still leading the yearling selection team.
Baffert and Brittany Russell are set to oversee the stable as trainers, while SF Racing remains involved with the existing crop of three-year-olds and older horses. Front Row Club will take management responsibility for two-year-olds and future purchases.
The timing gives the launch immediate track relevance. Hughes, the Into Mischief juvenile trained by Baffert, won impressively at Los Alamitos on Saturday under the new banner and was later given TDN Rising Star status.
For a partnership already built around high-end yearling buying and elite U.S. targets, the change looks less like a reset than a formal relaunch around the next generation.
