Dropped another 2lbs for a recent 8th at Thirsk, but was still beaten over 5 lengths that day.
Plus is still rated 9lbs higher than his last success, which came at this two-day meeting last season.
So, the return to Chester is a plus and draw 1 is too – but will still need a career-best in my book.
