Arc-Winning Jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot Cleared Of Rape Allegations

Top French jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot has finally been cleared of rape allegations after a five-year investigation found him to be innocent.

Pierre-Charles Boudot Cleared Of Rape After Five Years

The French jockey was arrested on a charge of rape in April 2021 and had his riding licence suspended soon after.

He’s now free to return to riding after his case was cleared following a five year long investigation.

Boudot always denied any wrongdoing, and in the end he was right and was found to be innocent.

His lawyer, Maitre Florence Gaudilliere said the following to the press:

After five years of investigation, justice has finally exonerated Mr Pierre-Charles Boudot. A very motivated dismissal was rendered today by the Amiens Chamber of Instruction.

Away from the racing fields for several years, one of the greatest jockeys in the world will finally be able to work again. We have always fought to see his innocence confirmed and this is finally the case.

Boudot won the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe on Waldgeist in 2019 and has numerous Group 1 winners to his name.

The 33-year-old also has a Royal Ascot winner on his CV after guiding Watch Me to glory in 2019. He’s also a three-time French Champion Jockey having won the title in 2015, 2016 and 2020.

Naggas Herve, Boudot’s agent posted an image on X (formerly known as Twitter) of the jockey. Former president of France Galop Edouard de Rothschild replied saying: “Finally”.
